Azadi-March vandalism cases: PTI founder, others acquitted

The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad has acquitted Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and several others in two cases related to vandalism during long marches.

Judicial Magistrate Sessions Court Shehzad Khan has cleared Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Shireen Mazari, Ali Nawaz Awan, Faisal Javed, Saifullah Niazi, Qasim Suri, and Raja Khurram Nawaz of charges in the long march vandalism case.

The charges against Khan and other political figures were filed at Kohsar and Karachi Company police stations for violating Section 144.

The court’s decision was made during the hearing of acquittal requests submitted by the PTI founder and other politicians.
