Sindh Excise and Taxation Department held an auction for premium number plates in Karachi.
The A1 number plate was put up for auction and purchased for 10 crore rupees by industrialist Muzamal Kareem, who placed the highest bid.
According to the details, the premium number plate 7, was put up for auction during the ceremony for 46 million rupees. Muzmal Kareem placed the highest offer and was awarded the ownership certificate of the plate by Mukesh Chawla.
Businessman Sorosh paid 26.5 million rupees for the premium number plate 786, and Sindh Energy Minister Nasir Shah handed over the number plate’s ownership certificate.
Speaking on this occasion, Senior Minister, Sindh, Sharjeel Memon stated that although people invest in gold and other assets, premium number plates are also a form of investment. The auction winner will be able to resell the plate, and the amount collected will go toward helping the flood victims’ homes.
